I don’t know much about the real estate market but it’s very interesting to learn from those who are best in any craft.

A scene turning into a subculture and the categories of people along the way.
Originally saw this here and was a great read. Ignore the thread.

Crypto venture fund learnings in 2022: Diligence actually matters, when everything seems crazy—it probably is, move faster and push harder to close deals, don’t laugh at crazy ideas, don’t blindly follow the “ethereum cool kids”, macro f*cks everything, regulation is slow, the best deals are usually won by brand and don’t trust the judgement of other VCs.

@tomjacquesson @OneJKMolina @alexberman This got us to early 2022. Our plan has always been to build something useful, sell it and start over. Why? In short, because building is much funnier than hiring and managing people (for us). We love the early phases but we’re not sure to be the best at scaling.
Many may find this helpful before starting a business. You may not like the idea of scaling and moving into management. So you can plan to build startups to a certain stage and then sell them.

Cool AI stuff again!

Simple but true. Even if you don’t like spending money, doing it on things you use often will be one of the best investments you can make.
1 good quote
1 piece of advice from me
When you don’t have connections and a brand, it feels useless to try to reach out to popular individuals. Cold messaging is common nowadays but it’s annoying most times because it’s the same thing on repeat. Stand out and stop the normal “Hey!”. “Can I ask you a question?”, long paragraphs, etc. Make sure the post doesn’t require constant back and forth. The worst thing people want to do is have a lot of running conversations.
